The Grand Parade Sunday, July 5, 2009 - 1:30 pm Come visit - Celebrate the Summer and Independence Day! The Independence Day Holiday is observed Friday, July 3, 2009. The 4th of July is Saturday, 2009 it's the 33rd Year of this annual Celebration and the 153rd Anniversary of Augusta

Bean and Bacon Days 2009 Event Schedule

Thursday July 2nd 2009:
At the Community Center Gym:

~ Mr. Bean (Mr. Bacon) / Miss Beannette - The Miss Augusta Pageant - 7:30 pm
~ Ticket prices $2.00, 12 and under free

Friday, July 3rd 2009, Independence Day! Holiday observed
At Lions Field throughout the day:

 ~ Food available  
~ Co-ed Volleyball Tournament Begins - 6:00 p.m.  Team Entrants fee $30 - 100 % payback  -continuing on July 4th at 8 a.m -  
~ Softball Tournament - 6:00 p.m. Free  
~ Burnout Competition - 6:00 p.m.  See the CAR SHOW page for More information
 ~ Dance with music by Shady Glen – 9:00 p.m. Free  ~ Food and Beer Garden  ~ Fireworks (Sponsored by Bush Brothers) – at dusk

At the Augusta Area Senior Center in the Community Center - 2009 link
~ Celebration Quilt Show and crafts - 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Enjoy the show with 2 young 'ambassadors' as your guides  
~ Food Available - 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.  
~ Vendors - must register call Barb - vendors can also register by email - call Barb  
~ Quilt Raffle now and continuing to Saturday - prize is awarded on Saturday, July 4  ~ Art Display and used book sale to Benefit the Augusta Memorial Library

Saturday, July 4th 2009, Independence Day!
 At Lions Field throughout the day:

~ Co-ed Volleyball Tournament continuing from Friday - 8:00 a.m.  
~ Food with charcoal chicken and beverages - from Noon on  
~ Softball Tournament - 9:30 a.m. Free  ~ Treasure Hunt - 11:30 a.m. ($100 in pile)  ~ Kid’s Games - Noon to 5:00 p.m. Inflatable fun show (Sponsored by Bush Brothers)  
~ ATV Mud Race - 1:00 p.m. Free (Registration begins at 11:00 a.m.)  Sponsored by the Augusta Trail Vipers  
~ Demolition Derby - 5:00 p.m.- Tickets: Adult - $7.00 13 and above; Kids - 7 to 12 $3.00; under 7 free. Family Pass available for $20  
~ Demolition Derby - 5:00 p.m. - Pit Pass $10.00; Pit opens at 2 p.m.; Car and driver enter at 4 p.m.

~ Miss Augusta Pageant Queens Tea - 11:00 am to 12:30 pm
- Royalty from neighboring towns meet and greet prior to the Grand Parade

 ~ Karate America Show - 1:00 p.m. - Karate demonstration at Unity Bank - link
~ The Grand Parade Sunday, July 5, 2009 - 1:30 pm on Lincoln Street  ~ Methodist Church Ice Cream Social after the Parade at Methodist Church just 1 block from Lincoln
